Estie Lippiatt, Occupational Therapist

I began my OT journey in South Africa, where in 2006 I received my professional qualifications. One of my first clients was a wonderful young boy with cerebral palsy. He and his family were an inspiration and this sparked my passion to support children through Occupational Therapy.

I arrived in the UK in 2008 where I broadened my experience by assisting adults. Alongside this I had the privilege of continuing to support children and their families. I specifically contributed to the all-important first assessments. This enabled provision for appropriate care and aids such as hoists, slings, specialist seating and beds designed especially for children. My journey in occupational therapy took an exciting turn as I've delved into the world of school-based occupational therapy. Working with children in school settings has become my passion, and I'm truly hooked.

My aim is always to improve the quality of life for children with special needs.
